Welcome to Cupid's Compass ("we," "us"). Cupid's Compass is run by an individual — no company or legal entity owns it yet — so these Terms are an agreement between you and the person who operates the app. If a business is formed later, we'll tell you who takes over. By creating an account or using Cupid's Compass, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement to use Cupid's Compass.

2. What Cupid's Compass is (and isn't)

Cupid's Compass offers AI-generated suggestions for conversations, gifts, dates and travel. Dating is an art, not a science. These suggestions are ideas to help your conversations — they're not guaranteed to get positive results. Use your own judgment about what fits you, her, and the moment. Suggestions may contain mistakes, and Cupid's Compass is not professional, relationship, medical, or legal advice. A short notice in the app points here. This section is the full disclaimer.

3. Respect for other people

Cupid's Compass lets you keep private notes about people you date. You agree to:

Only upload screenshots, photos and information you have a lawful right to use.
Never upload someone else's photos or messages to build a public profile, resell that data, or impersonate her.
Never use Cupid's Compass to stalk, harass, deceive, pressure, manipulate or harm anyone.
Never share another person's private information gathered through Cupid's Compass.
Respect consent and boundaries in every interaction.

We do not claim ownership of third-party content in screenshots. You may ask us to delete notes about a person from your account. We do not promise to act on a request from someone who is not a user.

4. Safety, allergies and venues

Allergy warnings, age checks, weather notes, ratings, event details and venue information come from third-party data and AI and may be incomplete or outdated. Always confirm menus, ingredients, opening hours, age requirements and safety directly with the venue. Partner prices, promo codes, tickets, flights, and deals may be outdated. Always confirm with the seller before you buy. Meet new people in public places.

5. Partners and promo codes

Some suggestions feature partner businesses and may include promo codes or links. Some of those are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Partner offers are provided by those businesses, may change or expire, and purchases are governed by their terms. Offers in the app are labeled as partner offers.

6. Your account

Keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to store and process what you upload only to operate Cupid's Compass for you, including sending it to AI providers to generate suggestions. We do not sell your uploads. We do not use private notes or screenshots to train public models unless you opt in. AI providers may process prompts to return a suggestion and may retain them under their own terms.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Cupid's Compass is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for outcomes of dates, relationships, purchases or travel arranged using suggestions from the app.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to Cupid's Compass is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some states do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

9. Our property

We own the Cupid's Compass app, name, logo, and the format of suggestions. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer it.

10. Removal

We may remove content that violates these Terms.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By using Cupid's Compass you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

12. Paid plans

If we later charge for Cupid's Compass, price, renewal, and cancellation will be shown before you pay and added to these Terms. We will not start charging an existing free account without notice.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. If changes are significant, we'll ask you to accept the new version before continuing.
