Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-01.4 · Draft pending legal review
This policy explains what Cupid's Compass collects, why, and the choices you have. Cupid's Compass is operated by an individual, not a company — no business entity owns it yet — so the person who runs the app is the one responsible for your information.
What we collect
- Account info: email address, name and photo from Google if you sign in with Google, and your age if you provide it.
- Content you add: screenshots, photos, notes, birthdays, allergies and other details about people you date.
- Plans and history: saved date plans, vacations, gift ideas and reply suggestions.
- Location inputs: cities or areas you type in to plan dates. We do not track your device location.
- Basic technical data: device and browser type, and when you accepted our Terms.
How we use it
Only to run Cupid's Compass for you: analyzing profiles, remembering details, generating suggestions, finding venues, events, weather and products, and keeping the app secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- AI, mapping, weather and web-search providers that process requests on our behalf.
- Hosting and database providers that store your data.
- Authorities, if required by law.
Partner businesses do not receive your notes or the details of people you date.
When you ask for a suggestion, we send the relevant notes, screenshots, and prompt to AI providers so they can generate it. We do not use private notes or screenshots to train public models unless you opt in. Those providers may retain data under their own terms. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share her name or your notes with partner businesses. If you click a partner or affiliate link, that business or its network may see that the visit came from Cupid's Compass, not your notes.
Information about other people
A contact's profile exists only for your own use inside your account. It is never shared, published, or shown to anyone else, and it is deleted when you delete the contact. Notes about other people are private to your account and are not visible to those people or to other users. Only add information you have a right to keep. If someone who is not a user emails us about notes in an account, we will pass the request to that account holder. We do not promise to delete data we cannot verify.
Storage and security
Data is stored with access restricted to your account. Photos are kept in private storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data. Do not upload anything you would not want a service provider to process, including someone else's private messages.
Retention
We keep account data until you delete the contact or the account, or until we close an inactive account after notice. Backups may keep a copy for a limited period, then overwrite it.
Your choices
You can edit or delete contacts and notes at any time. To delete your account and associated notes, photos, and plans, email [contact email]. We may keep a record that you accepted the Terms if the law requires it.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we receive the email, name, and photo Google shares. We do not receive your Google password.
California
We do not sell personal information. California residents can email us to request access or deletion.
Other regions
If you are in the EEA or UK, email us to request access or deletion.
Age
Cupid's Compass is for adults 18+. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
We'll post updates here and ask you to re-accept significant changes.
